Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

THE LOGIC THAT WAS NEVER CALLED A LOGIC:This manuscript was written in 1661, 16 years prior to his "Ethics". It is the Logic upon which the Ethics is built. This manuscript will be especially beneficial for anyone who has already studied the "Ethics"; much gets clarification here.I will quickly lay out the LOGIC for you and then you can fill it in with content, during your reading:1. BASIC PROGRAM: follows a triad of: a. PERCEPTION, b. REASON, c. INTUITION2. PERCEPTION: follows a triad of: a. REDUCTION; b. IDEATUM; c. IDEA.3. REASON: follows a triad of: a. LOVE; b. REASON; c. DESIRE4. NOTION follows a pattern of primary attributes consisting of: CAUSE, NECESSITY, PROVIDENCE, & PREDESTINATION. Then it plots notion as: GENUS-CATEGORIES & DIFFERENTIA-CONCEPTS5. STANCE OF PRAXIS: takes a stance of positing NATURANS into the NATURATA.6. CONCEPTUAL-PHRAESEOLOGY: follows a triad of: a. REALIA-OPINION; b. RATIONIS-BELIEF; c. & CONSCIENTIA- AS CLEAR KNOWLEDGE.These modalities are articulated through a general framework of "subjectivity" as EXTENDED-IDEAS & "objectivity" as EXTENDED-THINGSIt is a great work for clarifying the ethics. Actually the two works should be combined in one volume. They are reciprocally related.5 stars easily
