I understand why so many reviewers like this book so much. Nancy Nichols tone is very upbeat and positive and she offers a lot of encouragement. What's tiresome about the book is that it's very repetitive. Her underlying message - to "love all men" really got old after the first half of the book. And this message, she confesses, was from a friend who clearly had some dysfunctional Freudian-based daddy issues. The oft repeated "love all men" became tiresome to the point of being unrealistic. She does recommend to listen to your intuition and walk away when the situation with a man doesn't feel right. However, she fails to elaborate, with any realism, as to how to go about "loving" all men without looking like a slut. Because she doesn't mean "love all men" literally. If she'd nuanced her message to focus more on what this means in various situations and how to do this realistically with many different types of men - as in treat other people with respect, listen to their stories, etc., this book might have been more useful. Her bottom line is simply - when you respect other people (as in "all men"), you respect yourself more, you raise your standards as a result, you'll put up with less nonsense from men who are unworthy of you, and you'll attract a better kind of man. It doesn't take 150+ pages to say this.

Nancy’s book is a must read for all women no matter where they are in their lives. Her book explains the approach and psychology women need in order to find and maintain successful and healthy relationships. After reading many relationship books I find this one to be at the top of my list as, “must read,” literature.

This book is so informative, it really helps when you seem to have struck out in the dating department. For someone who hasn't dated in over 20 years, this is the kind of book you need. It really helped me. I didn't know what to talk about or the conversation do's and don'ts and this book will set you straight. I recommend it highly.

This book had some really good points about what were you really looking for and giving all men (almost all men) a chance

Too much about being a girly girl and not a strong woman. Very little I saw value in. Easy short read as not a complex writing style or involved content.

Having never been married and in my 40s, I knew it wasn't me; I just wasn't going to settle. As the organizer of a large singles organization, I get asked for dating advice on a regular basis. I knew and agreed with much of Nancy's cousel but I had a few AHA moments and tucked new information into my hat. Like Nancy, it took years of trials and tribulations to "get it". I wish there was a way to learn this early in our dating lives...oh yeah, there is...Read this book! This is good stuff. I highly recommend this read for women and for men, as well. It will help both to see how a woman should be treated.
