    Book details

New York auteur assembles an odd-ball crew of dreamers and wanna-bes for JERSEY'S REVENGE, the next sequel to his low-budget horror franchise. High hopes for a breakout hit are devastated by blown stunts, incompent special effects, and bad acting.

Terry Woods is a stagehand in New York City. He "held the script" for Lloyd Kaufman during two Toxic Avenger sequels and Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD.

Review Text

A fantastic peak inside the making of a truly independent movie. Terry Woods creates a vivid and fascinating portrait of life on a low-budget movie set.

Now I know what it's like to shoot a movie, but where was a plot? Was the book interesting? At points, yes. Did I learn anything new? Sure, but did I really need this particular knowledge, probably not. I would highly recommend this to anyone contemplating a career in the movie industry, as it shows the mundane day to day life of film making. But, for the everyday run of the mill pleasure reader it is more drudgery than enjoyment.
