I have a 2-year-old son and husband with Autism. When my son was diagnosed, the evaluator suggested this book. I really liked the information that was presented in it. It has a lot of current research info, as well as current resources. I also liked the stories in it of other people's experiences with Autism.

We are grandparents of a child who is ASD. I wanted to read the book because I needed to know how to deal with her issues when we are together and the book has been priceless. Though there are a lot of examples of children who are exhibiting one thing or another, it also is very helpful in giving directions about differing plans of action. Of course, that isn't my decision but nevertheless is really good to know about.Oops! You also will find yourself identifying those characteristics in adults. :)

I love the way it is written, doesn't feel like a text book, very easy to follow. Very informative.

This is THE best book I've read so far! Not overly technical or medical, extremely thorough and a fantastic resource for a parent just beginning autism research. Excellent!

Thank you very much for this tremendous, and much needed resource. As a parent of a child on the Autism spectrum I know how hungry for information I was when my child was first identified as at risk. It is difficult to determine a good approach when there is so much information available, and the stakes feel so very high. Dr. Rosenblatt has been my child's doctor for the last 9 years. He has helped me make choices based upon evidence based research. I now work with many families with children like mine, and I am delighted to have this insightful and informative guide to recommend.
